We are a non-profit service organization with an ongoing program for the collection and distribution of personal hygiene kits to the homeless and working poor.
We are always looking for volunteers, and there are many ways you can help Shoebox Ministry and support our mission to help the Valley’s homeless.
Put Together Kits at Home — Collect toiletries from neighbors, family, co-workers and friends, then assemble into toiletry kits. It’s is a great family activity you can do at home with all ages. We are always accepting mending kits, vanity kits, magazines and shoe boxes.
Get Involved at Work — Collect toiletries or build complete kits with your co-workers, and employees who travel for work can donate their hotel toiletries to be put to good use!
Join Together with Your Community — Hold a drive to collect toiletries (full-size and travel/hotel size) from your neighbors. Be sure to include magazines or reading material that would otherwise get recycled in your collection. Getting rid of old towels or linens? Shelters are always in need of these items.
Helping in a Classroom/School Activity — Make it a contest between classes to collect toiletries or build complete kits. Do you have parents or relatives that travel and don’t know what to do with their hotel toiletries? We are always in need of these FREE items.
Tell Your Club/Civic Group About Shoebox — Collecting toiletries, building complete kits or making mending kits is a great group activity and can be done at any meeting.
Keep the Faith — Organize the congregation at your place of worship to collect toiletries, build complete kits or make mending kits. Get your youth group involved in their community!
Join Us at Shoebox Ministry — Pack toiletry kits, sort donations or assist with one of our five special events which take place throughout the year.
